Description
The Prado attributes this panel to Leonardo's workshop. Its underdrawing repeats changes made during the development of the Louvre painting, supporting the conclusion that a pupil worked alongside the original's creation. Conservation revealed the landscape beneath a later black overpaint. Read the Prado's technical study.

Experimental hypothesis: This site's stereoscopic interpretation is a proposal, not the Prado's attribution or an established finding about Leonardo's intention. Shared underdrawing does not by itself establish an intentionally designed stereo pair. Compare the Louvre version.
